DESIGN-BUILD CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

COLLABORATIVE DESIGN-BUILD APPROACH

BlueScope Construction specializes in design-build construction. This method allows for better coordination throughout the entire preconstructionengineering, manufacturing, and installation process, resulting in faster construction, better quality, and reduced costs.

MINIMIZED COST

The collaborative design-build approach provides the lowest total overall cost by considering all aspects of the project (programming, design, financing, and construction), not just the lowest initial bid price.

STREAMLINED PROCESS

Construction can start and complete earlier than the traditional approach. Foundation design and anchor bolt layouts are completed concurrent with design development, resulting in earlier release and construction start.

Design-Build Process Details

The design-build process offers a single point of responsibility and contact for the project rather than juggling multiple contractors and companies. This makes the process much more fluid and streamlined from start to finish, so you get your building faster:

During preconstruction, the execution plan is developed, and a thorough review of the project scope is conducted. This helps avoid scope gaps and associated change orders. Project cost and schedule are established.

Our in-house structural engineering and detailing staff, knowledgeable in both pre-engineered metal buildings and conventional construction techniques, analyze every building and derive alternative design solutions to fit the project requirements. Engineers and technicians collaborate closely with project managers and the broader team for cost control and ease of erection.

During construction, the execution plan is put to work on a daily basis, including safety management, schedule maintenance, coordination of subcontractors, and dispute avoidance.

Closeout teams, consisting of contractors, engineers, and operators, collaborate to develop turnover packages and oversee the systematic transfer of building, electrical, and other systems. We partner to completion.
