BlueScope Construction provided structural engineering, materials procurement and building shell erection for this large tire distribution center. The facility structure design featured fixed base columns, joist girders, bar joists, portal joists, and truss purlins to support the 8″ site-cast tilt-up concrete walls and 22 gauge deck for the EPDM roof. BlueScope Construction’s expertise in distribution center design and construction allowed the project to be completed at the lowest in-place cost and on schedule even though the project was delayed. In fact, the roof deck was down 20 days ahead of schedule.
