Design-build regional distribution center to support retail stores. BlueScope Construction was the turnkey general contractor. The facility has a conventional structural system with concrete tilt-up walls. BlueScope Construction also provided in-house concrete services. The roof is a metal standing seam roof system manufactured by BlueScope Buildings, BSC’s parent company. Office area has executive and administrative offices, conference rooms, cafeteria, security office with remote cameras and communications center, computer center, employee locker rooms, and showers. The warehouse area is 28′ clear height. Value engineering and buyout savings offered by BlueScope Construction saved Ace close to $1 million dollars. The entire project had only 3 change orders.
