BlueScope Construction was the design-build general contractor for a solvent-borne paint plant for the automotive industry. DuPont needed the facility on a fast-track basis, but due to design changes, the project started 68 days late and the majority of construction was through the winter months. Even so, BlueScope Construction was able to make up all but 18 days during difficult weather conditions. Additional difficulties included a constricted, previously developed site and connecting to an existing building. That building needed to remain operational throughout construction of the new structure.

The facility itself is a two-story structural concrete building with insulated foam panel walls and a membrane roof. The tie-in passages utilized BlueScope Buildings metal roof systems. Heavy floor loading was required including a 750 pound per square foot loading on the second floor.
